Feature: Let's Hang Tonight

when the potent light of day goes red to dark and good-bye
that's when I breathe and open my eyes wide
the night is my friend when most unbearable things are briefly dead
i wish for things of dark dreams to rear their head
the never-dead, super-living ultra-visitors that can only be envisioned
they're better company than the living dead and truer than the light
i'd rather see only things that truly shine rather than the day's deceptions
business hours haunt me and rob my sleep,
this isn't poetry, it's tired chunks of what i wish away and wish
